2016 Wine Festival

Herkimer County Fairgrounds; Frankfort, NY

 We are currently seeking vendors to participate in a wine tasting event to be held at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds, 135 Cemetery St., Frankfort, NY on Saturday, July 9, 2016. This event will have the designation as a “Farmer’s Market” which will allow you to sell in sealed containers as well as offer wine tastings.

 As the event is being held at the fairgrounds, there are ONLY inside spots available. The vendor fees for this event are listed on the Vendor Application form. You will be able to keep all the proceeds from the sale of your products.

 As this is a “Farmer’s Market” we need to have at least three bona fide agricultural vendors with this title (e.g. fruits and vegetables, dairy products, eggs, meat or poultry, ornamental plants or flowers, maple syrup, honey, or other processed products, like fruit preserves, that use the producer’s farm-grown ingredients.) 


  • AGRICULTURAL VENDORS:

o   Please make sure any and all applicable laws and requirements pertaining to exhibiting, preparing (cooking) and selling your product(s) at “Farmer’s Markets” are strictly adhered to including those of the NYS Department of Health, and Agriculture & Market.

o   If you are required by NYS to hold a permit, please provide a copy.

o   A New York State Permission to Collect Sales and Use Tax Certificate is also required and must be on display at your booth. We must have a copy of this certification along with application.

 

  • WINERY/BREWERY VENDORS:

o   Wineries/Breweries will be required to provide a copy of their NYS Liquor License and Marketing/Tasting Permits.

o   A New York State Permission to Collect Sales and Use Tax Certificate is also required and must be on display at your booth. We must have a copy of this certification along with application.

o   We also require insurance coverage in the amount of $1,000,000 per occurrence of bodily injury and $500,000 per occurrence of property damage or a $1,000,000 combined single limit. Herkimer County Fairgrounds/Jenn’s Events, 135 Cemetery St., Frankfort, NY 13340 must be listed as additional insured.

 

  • FOOD VENDORS:

o   A New York State Permission to Collect Sales and Use Tax Certificate is also required and must be on display at your booth. We must have a copy of this certification along with application.

o   Food Vendors must have a Herkimer County Health Permit to sell items for consumption.

* The fairgrounds association has the exclusive right to sell hotdogs/hamburgers at this event.

 

ALL Vendors will receive two tasters wrist bands per booth rented. Please make sure these are issued to persons over 21 years of age.

o   Please bring everything you need to set up; tents, tables, linens. 

o   Tables and electricity are available to rent for INSIDE SPOTS only.

o   No Open Flames or Heaters are permitted

o   No Pets allowed

o   ALL ALCOHOLIC beverages are to be sold for off-site consumption only.

o   Booth locations will be pre-assigned and given to vendors when they check in to setup.

o   Set-up time is 11:00 am – 3:00 pm. Must be ready by 3:00 pm when doors open.

o   Drive to/near vendor spot to unload & then vehicles are to be moved to parking lot during event hours.

o   Vendors are responsible for cleaning your area of all garbage after the event.

By completing this online registration form, I (as a vendor) agree to comply with all event terms and conditions of event and agree that there will be no change in product/services as described above. Payment must be mailed in with a copy of registration form or through PayPal. Spot will be secured once payment is received. Agreement is non-cancelable by applicant. No refund of payment will be made. Returned payment fee of $20 will apply if any checks are returned/denied by the bank.

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Herkimer County Fairgrounds, Herkimer County Fairgrounds Association, Frankfort Police Department, Jenn's Events, and its volunteers, employees, and staff for any losses or damages however incurred.
